Digit Filters Mirror5 Pick 5 The Mirror5 (P34ID:M5) is a so called "digit filter". A digit filter divides each digit into options. The Mirror5 filter has the following options:
Mirror5 = Digits 0 = 5 1 = 6 2 = 7 3 = 8 4 = 9 5 = 0 6 = 1 7 = 2 8 = 3 9 = 4
To show you how to find the Mirror5 filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Pick 5 Mirror5 Conversion Step 1: Divide 38215 into separate digits: 38215 => 3 8 2 1 5 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 3 = 8 8 = 3 2 = 7 1 = 6 5 = 0 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 8 3 7 6 0 = 83760
Mirror5 (M5) basically creates the opposing VTracs (VTX) mirror of the actual number by basically adding a 5 to each digit without carrying. It is also called a "shifting filter" as it does not reduce the 10 digits it just shifts each digit up by 5. Other common shifting filters are Mirror3 (M3) and Mirror7 (M7). |
