Combined Filters VZero Line Width Pick 3 The VZero Line Width (VTZ-LW) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion. The Line Width is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. The Line Width is the difference between the highest and the lowest digit of a number. To show you how to calculate the VZero Line Width filter for a Pick 3 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 3 VZero Line Width Conversion Step 1: Divide 128 into separate digits: 128 => 1 2 8 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 1 = 1 2 = 2 8 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 1 2 3 = 123
Part II: Pick 3 VZero Line Width Conversion Step 1: Divide the 123 into separate digits: 123 => 1 2 3 Step 2: Find the highest digit: 1 2 3 => 3 Step 3: Find the lowest digit: 3 2 1 => 1 Step 4: Subtract the lowest digit from the highest: 3 - 1 = 2
