History Elimination
Here is another request from player that was implemented in the HOLMES system: History Elimination. The default is set to “Boxed”.

There are three choices for you to pick from: “No”, “Straight” and “Boxed”.

What does History Elimination do?
The system is looking at all numbers that you entered in the INPUT field and will take all the numbers that are equal to those numbers out of the results. If you requested “Straight” History Elimination it only gets rid of the numbers in their original “Straight” form. If you select “Boxed” it eliminates every number in their boxed form.

Is History Elimination a good thing?

You know as much as I do that numbers do repeat not very often but they do repeat. SO your problem is that you might cut out the winning number from your selection. At the same time you can drastically reduce your numbers by using the history elimination. You have to be careful: Eliminating too many numbers can backfire quickly.

As mentioned in the beginning HOLMES can be used for short-term prediction (the upcoming 2 draws usually) or for long-term forecasting (up to 1 month in advance). When you use the numbers for a long period of time as a general forecast you might want to use history elimination with more numbers than for a short-term period. The reason is that you have many chances to win throughout a week or month but you only have one or two choices if you use HOLMES for short-term prediction.

So the rule of thumb for History Elimination is: Long-term forecasting eliminate many numbers – Short-term prediction eliminate few or no numbers.
